All I Want For Christmas Is… Call Of Duty Black Ops, Actually
Video games make the perfect Christmas present. The majority of Xbox 360 owners will probably be looking forward to receiving a Kinect (if they haven’t given up waiting and bought one for themselves already), while PS3 aficionados will be planning on getting their hands on the shiny new Playstation Move peripheral.
One thing, however, is certain: Xbox 360, PC and will all feature on most people’s Christmas lists.
Black Ops will be high on the list of many an FPS fan, and is found on most consoles (the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS, to be exact). Taking place in the 1960s during the Cold War, the game follows Alex Mason and his work as part of CIA-funded black operations behind enemy lines. One of Call of Duty Black Ops’ main plot points is the chemical weapon Nova-6, a deadly gas originating in WWII Nazi Germany. As well as an excellent multiplayer mode, there is also the addition of a zombie mode that pits Robert McNamara, John F Kennedy, Richard Nixon and Fidel Castro against the undead horde at The Pentagon.
World of Warcraft Cataclysm is, of course, a rather different game, but certainly none the less popular following its release. The latest expansion pack for the incredibly popular MMORPG will literally change the players’ in game world, the evil dragon aspect Deathwing tearing his way through the dimensional barrier between Deepholm and Azeroth and fiercely rending the landscape as a result. With wide ranging changes, new content (including two new playable races) and the raising of the level cap from 80 to 85, players both old and new are in for a blast.
Still, if you were one of those with a 360 Kinect on your list and nothing else then don’t worry: there are a load of awesome games on their way.
